Wow!! I love love love this Stampin’ Up! bundle.
It’s called Hearts Come Home and it is just stunning! I cased the village scene from a fellow Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Kathryn Simpson, who also created a YouTube video with instructions on how to make this stunning frame.
After being wowed by Kathryn’s Village scene I designed another Christmas themed frame using the Night in Bethlehem bundle. Again another beautiful bundle from Stampin’ Up! that creates another beautiful light up frame.
Hints & Tips
The sky in the two frames are very different, in the village scene the Santa’s Sleigh image is embossed in clear embossing powder then sponged with Night of Navy ink, then the moon and stars are embossed in Gold embossing powder. The Bethlehem sky is inked in 3 different colours, Tempting Turquoise, Rich Razzleberry and Night of Navy. Once all the ink is layed down on Stampin’ Up!’s Shimmery White card, water is flicked onto the card. This creates ‘stars’,embossing the stars with Gold embossing powder gives it a striking background. Two different techniques that give two very different night drops.
I struggled to keep up with the demand for classes for the two styles of frames, most class attendees made both frames as they wanted them for Christmas gifts for friends and family. Some put their own little touches to them, others made them a little more colourful, each one a little different to the next but all equally stunning.
I couldn’t resist and had to make some of these frames for my own friends and family, I went that little bit further and made a coordinating card.
All frames were gratefully received and rightfully so, they are stunning.
